I am a fan of the Solawave Eye Mask, especially for people who spend a lot of time looking at screens. Instead of focusing on superficial changes, this device aims to promote healthy circulation under the skin. It uses longer wavelengths of light to help stimulate blood flow around the eyes, which can clear excess fluid and also reduce signs of swelling. These longer wavelengths are often used in clinics to help decrease swelling and improve skin appearance. I love that Solawave has brought the same technology to patients for them to use at home.

This eye mask is one of my favorite devices for daily skincare. What I really like is how Solawave incorporates other wavelengths of light that activate parts of the skin red light cannot reach on its own. Amber light, around 590 nanometers, can be especially useful for patients with dark circles and skin discoloration. Amber light is interesting because it can affect the pigment cells around the eye. These cells produce a coloring chemical called melanin. When they produce too much melanin, the skin can look dark and discolored. Amber light therapy can have a calming effect on these pigment-producing cells, so that the area around the eye appears lighter and more even. Here, amber light is combined with near-infrared and red light wavelengths, which can do great things for skin health and collagen production.

Look I’m 42 and counting so my eyes definitely look a little more tired now a days and this eye mask is my go to every evening. It goes something like this wind down for 3 minutes then grab my skincare mini for the next 12 minutes all over the rest of my face, neck & chest. The mask gives off a red light at the very beginning I think not sure because my eyes are so sensitive I have to close them lol the light is so bright but then for most of it it’s like this orangey yellow toned light idk but my skin looks improved already so something is happening.
